PROJECT: Immersive Product Demo: Spinal Implant Surgery

The Challenge Demonstrating spinal surgery at a conference is impossible—you can't bring clients into a real operating room. Traditional videos failed to convey the precision and ergonomics of the instrumentation. The client needed a way to let surgeons "test drive" the implants virtually.

The Solution I managed the development of a high-fidelity VR Surgery Simulator. We created a fully immersive environment where the user takes the role of a lead surgeon. They perform the actual implantation procedure, following a strict medical protocol and using digital replicas of the company's proprietary tools.

Key Feature: The "Digital Microscope" We faced a UX challenge: how to show microsurgery details in a standard VR headset? I implemented a Floating Detail Screen (Picture-in-Picture). This virtual monitor provided a magnified, high-contrast live feed of the vertebrae removal and implant insertion, allowing users to work with precision.

The Impact The simulator transformed passive observers into active users. It became the centerpiece of the client's exhibitions, significantly increasing engagement time and sales leads.
